Winter Break Reflections: Cozy Moments and New Beginnings
Winter break has come and gone, and as I sit down to write again, I can't help but reflect on the wonderful moments we shared as a family. There's something so special about these short breaks from the daily grind—an opportunity to slow down, soak up the cozy atmosphere, and truly enjoy the presence of loved ones.
Our winter break was filled with joy, celebration, and a touch of winter magic. We had the pleasure of celebrating not just one, but two Christmases—Western and Orthodox—each filled with its own cherished traditions, delicious meals, and of course, plenty of presents for the kids.
New Year's Eve was another milestone, as my son stayed awake to ring in the new year for the very first time. It was a memorable evening filled with snacks, laughter, and the thrill of counting down to midnight. Seeing his excitement as the clock struck twelve made the late night completely worth it!
Then came the snowstorm—blanketing everything in a layer of soft, glistening white. It was the perfect excuse to stay inside, snuggle up with hot cocoa, and watch the snowflakes fall outside our window. Of course, we couldn't resist heading out for a bit of snowy fun.
As much as I cherished every moment, the inevitable return to routine awaited us. Getting back into the swing of daily life—school drop-offs, meal planning, and housework—was a challenge, but there's comfort in the familiar rhythm. And now, here I am, finally finding the time to write again and share a little glimpse into our world.
Thank you, as always, for taking the time to visit and read my thoughts. I'm looking forward to sharing more with you soon as we settle into the new year. Here's to fresh starts and more cozy moments ahead!
